MANIFESTO DI L’UMARELL DEI PARCHI A TEMA (LUDPAT)

Un UMARELL è un uomo, generalmente un pensionato, che passa il suo tempo osservando i cantieri della sua città, criticandoli con “Io lo farei così” o, più tipicamente, “Io l'avrei fatto diversamente”.

Io non sono un pensionato (mentre scrivo non ho neanche 25 anni!), ma critico anch'io e farei cose a modo mio nei parchi a tema che conosco.

I parchi sono decisamente una delle mie più grandi passioni. Mi piace visitarli e mi piace immaginare come potrebbero essere, che attrazioni o aree si potrebbero aggiungere.

In inglese si parla di “armchair imagineer”, qualcuno che fa dell'"armchair imagineering", uno che pur non avendo competenze specifiche (la passione non vale!) si diverte a immaginare parchi o attrazioni, tipicamente Disney. Io sono questo, che ho cercato di rendere in italiano con “umarell”.

Non voglio occuparmi solo di Disney, ma anche di parchi Italiani e attrazioni non specifiche per un parco preciso.

Oltre a questo, di tanto in tanto condividerò qualche recensione e qualche notizia sul tema.

MANIFESTO OF “L’UMARELL DEI PARCHI A TEMA” (LUDPAT) – ITALIAN ARMCHAIR IMAGINEERING

A UMARELL is a man, usually a pensioner, who spends his time observing the construction sites of his city, criticizing them with "I’d do it like that" or, more typically, "I’d have done it differently".

I'm not retired (as I write I'm not even 25 years old!), but I also criticize a lot and I would do things my way in the theme parks that I know.

Theme parks are definitely one of my greatest passions. I enjoy visiting them and I like imagining how they could be, what attractions or areas could be added.

In English you'd call me an "armchair imagineer", someone that does not have specific skills, but has fun imagining parks or attractions, typically Disney stuff. I am that guy, that I tried to sort of translate to Italian as "umarell".

I won't write only about Disney, but also about Italian parks and about made up attractions for no specific park.

Besides this, from time to time I will share some reviews and some news about parks from around the world.

I apologise if my English might be not completely correct at times and I also apologise in advance for posting a little less in English than in Italian.
